'Castrol Jonathan Rea'
CBR1000RR Fireblade
For 2011 Jonathan Rea is riding with the Castrol Honda WSBK team, and of course he's mounted on a pretty trick Fireblade, in the new Castrol Honda colours.
Last year Jonathan was looking at a top three championship finish until a nasty fall at Imola injured his left shoulder and wrist, leaving him unable to defend his points advantage in the final two rounds. He was finally ranked fourth, missing third by only five points. His four race wins and ten podiums in total marked him out as something special, and all Jonathan feels he needs in 2011 is consistency of performance to allow him to make the next step up.
This Fireblade comes in 2011 Castrol Honda colours and is only available from Farnham Honda
'RC30 Tribute' CBR1000RR Fireblade
Motorcycle News' buying guide for the RC30 begins with a bold but accurate statement:
"The Honda RC30 goes beyond cult status. It is a legend. There is no other bike on the planet that means so much and so rapidly reduces normal riders to gibbering wrecks at the thought of owning one."
RC30 provided Honda with many wins on the Isle of Man. In 1988 Steve Hislop broke the Production class record by 15 seconds, and Joey Dunlop broke his own record (at a speed of 118.54mph). In 1989 Hislop set the first sub-20 minute, 120mph-plus lap on an RVF - from a standing start. Brian Morrison and Carl Fogarty both managed 120mph-plus laps aboard RC30s in the same week.
By 1990 the RC30 dominated the entries for the TT, and as a final swan song Troy Corser won the 1993 Australian Superbike championship on an RC30.
